Die Provenienz-Forschung untersucht diese Fragen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wem hat ein Werk vorher geh\u00f6rt?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wie kam es in eine neue Sammlung?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Im Kunstmarkt sind Angaben zu Herkunft und zur Geschichte von Werken sehr wichtig. Sie helfen den Wert einzusch\u00e4tzen oder die Echtheit zu pr\u00fcfen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Provenienz-Forschung untersucht, ob ein Werk jemandem weggenommen wurde. Ob dabei Gesetze oder Regeln verletzt wurden. Sie untersucht auch ob ein Verkauf fair war. Zum Beispiel wenn ein Werk in einer Notsituation zu billig verkauft werden musste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diese Dokumente sind wichtig f\u00fcr die Provenienz-Forschung: Kaufvertr\u00e4ge, Kataloge von Sammlungen, Ausstellungen oder Auktionen, Briefe, Etiketten und Stempel auf den R\u00fcckseiten der Werke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Das Kunstmuseum Luzern hat von 2016 bis 2018 die Provenienz von Werken aus der Sammlung untersucht. Das Bundesamts f\u00fcr Kultur (BAK) hat diese Forschung mit Geld unterst\u00fctzt. Die Resultate dieser Forschung wurden ver\u00f6ffentlicht. Viele Fragen blieben aber offen. Nicht alle Archive waren zug\u00e4nglich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nun f\u00fchrt das Kunstmuseum Luzern die stete Untersuchung von Werken, die zwischen 1933 und 1945 und in der Nachkriegszeit ins Museum kamen, verst\u00e4rkt weiter. Diese Untersuchung geh\u00f6rt seit Fr\u00fchjahr 2024 zu den fixen Aufgaben des Museums. Die Sammlungsausstellung <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kunstmuseumluzern.ch\/ausstellungen\/woher-kommst-du\/\"><em>Woher kommst du? Wie Kunst in die Sammlung gelangt<\/em><\/a> pr\u00e4sentiert erste Ergebnisse. Kanton und Stadt Luzern unterst\u00fctzen diese weitere Provenienz-Forschung und bezahlen einen Teil davon. Sie sehen die Aufarbeitung der Vergangenheit als wichtige und st\u00e4ndige Aufgabe. Deshalb steht diese Aufgabe neu in der sogenannten Leistungsvereinbarung. Diese regelt die Pflichten des Museums und die Kosten-Beteilung von Kanton und Stadt Luzern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-simplon-bp-font-family\"><strong>Empfehlende Kommission Provenienzforschung<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Empfehlende Kommission Provenienz-Forschung besteht seit Fr\u00fchjahr 2024. Sie empfiehlt, wie das Kunstmuseum Luzern bei problematischen Provenienzen vorgehen soll. Diese Kommission ist f\u00fcr ein Museum dieser Gr\u00f6sse schweizweit ein Vorbild. Die Mitglieder der Kommission kommen aus den Bereichen Wissenschaft, Kultur und Recht. Sie sind sensibel f\u00fcr die j\u00fcdische Kultur. Sie kennen auch die Geschichte der j\u00fcdischen Verfolgung w\u00e4hrend der NS-Zeit sehr gut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-simplon-bp-font-family has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Mitglieder der
