Where we grow up, live and work is of importance, irrespective of mobility and globalisation. The immediate environment and current world politics impinge on both life and art. Hier & jetzt brings together 16 up-and-coming young artists with connections to Switzerland. What topics are they preoccupied with? How do they respond in their art to climate change, artificial intelligence, societal changes, as well as political or personal crises?

On the occasion of the opening, a jury will award the Vordemberge-Gildewart scholarship, which promotes artists up to the age of 35 by financing a working year for them.
