In the case of zentral! the very name sets the agenda. The exhibition gathers together a selection of interesting, promising and unusual positions on the current art scene in Central Switzerland. Since its beginnings, the Kunstmuseum Luzern has mounted not only an exciting and diverse show with its annual exhibition, but has also offered up-and-coming artists a platform with an international reach.

The jury of experts views the portfolios entered and selects the positions for the exhibition. Current trends in contemporary art are considered as are specific features of local creative work. Visitors can look forward to an exhibition full of discoveries that enables them to experience the momentum and potential of art in Central Switzerland.

During the opening day not only is the Jury Prize / Prize of the Central Swiss Cantons awarded but also the Exhibition Prize of the Kunstgesellschaft Luzern: the exhibition Solo at the Kunstmuseum Luzern the following year.
